At the Cross Cancer Institute, we believe that no one should have to face it alone. Our community of doctors, nurses, facility staff and volunteers are here to lift our patients up and walk alongside them through every step of their cancer journey. Angus Watt, co-chair of the We Cross Cancer capital campaign has a personal connection to the Cross Cancer Institute. His wife Heather has faced cancer twice, both times receiving exceptional care and support from the staff and volunteers at the Cross Cancer Institute.
Angus is a passionate advocate of bringing more made-in-Alberta solutions to cancer and research that will have an impact on patient care. Thanks to his leadership and support, along with co-chair Cory Janssen, we’re closer to reaching our $30 million fundraising goal in support of the Cross Cancer Institute.
Angus Watt is a Senior Wealth Advisor, National Bank Financial, and Founding Partner of the Angus Watt Advisory Group. He holds a degree in Political Science from York University. Angus and his group manage over $1.4 billion in assets and are specialists in Wealth Management, Portfolio Strategy, Financial Planning, Individual Insurance, Group Insurance and Benefits planning. As Central Alberta’s Business Authority, Angus broadcasts over 30 times per week on Global TV and 630 CHED.
Angus was recently honoured by The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business 2021Shook as one of Canada’s Top Wealth Advisors. In 2021, the Angus Watt Advisory Group was awarded Team of the Year by National Bank Financial Wealth Management.
He is also Chair, South Alberta Light Horse Foundation and Director, CN Community Board.
